BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Role Overview: The Business Development Officer will play a key role in expanding the school’s visibility and establishing strategic partnerships.
This role requires someone proactive and outgoing, who can visit high-end offices, attend events, and build relationships with key stakeholders and target audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Visit high-end offices weekly/monthly to introduce Charterhouse Lagos and build new relationships.
- Establish new partnerships to support growth and strategic goals.
- Expand the school’s contact database with relevant contacts from industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
- Participate in a specified number of events each month to strengthen the school’s network and brand presence.
- Secure sponsorships by identifying and engaging potential sponsors that align with the school’s goals.
- Develop and submit partnership proposals to potential partners to foster relationships.
- Organise and attend partnership meetings to explore and develop collaborative opportunities.
- Conduct and deliver comprehensive market research reports to guide business strategies and opportunities.
- Distribute promotional materials, such as flyers and brochures, at strategically identified high-traffic locations to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in business development, field sales, outreach, preferably in an educational setting.
- Experience in the education sector or familiarity with private school operations.
- Ability to network effectively and identify strategic partnership opportunities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and identify new opportunities.
