EVENTS OFFICER

Role Overview: The Events Officer will be responsible for organising and project managing events for
Charterhouse Lagos. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced event planner, but we are also open to considering applications from enthusiastic young graduates who have strong organisation, communication and planning skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, and execute school events, including open days, alumni gatherings, fundraising events, prize days, sports days, and community outreach programmes.
  • Develop and manage event timelines, ensuring all activities are executed on schedule.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (e.g., academic staff, facilities team) and external vendors (e.g., caterers, decorators)
  • Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue setup, audiovisual requirements, catering, and guest accommodations.
  • Ensure risk assessments are conducted, and health and safety guidelines are adhered to.
  • Monitor and report on the success of events, providing insights for future improvements.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials for events, including flyers, social media posts, and email campaigns.
  • Manage inventory of event supplies and materials.
  • Build and maintain relationships with parents, alumni, sponsors, and community members.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Qualification or degree in Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in event planning.
  • Proficiency in event management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in managing high-profile events that cater to diverse stakeholders, including high-net-worth individuals and corporate sponsors.

  • Ability to work with various teams across the Campus, including Senior Leadership Team, academic staff and support services.
