Social Media Officer
Role Overview: The Social Media Officer role involves crafting compelling content, engaging with diverse audiences, and maintaining a consistent brand voice across social platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive social media content calendar.
- Produce and publish high-quality, platform-specific content (text, images, videos, and stories) across Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Monitor social media metrics to track engagement, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimisation.
- Design and implement social media campaigns for major school events, including Open Days, Student Engagement Days, and Parent Forums.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to align digital strategies with overall marketing objectives.
- Ensure all content reflects Charterhouse Lagos’ values, British educational heritage, and commitment to excellence.
- Liaise with internal departments to source and share updates on academic programmes, extracurricular activities, and special initiatives.
- Partner with the Business Development Officer to explore opportunities for event sponsorships and strategic collaborations.
- Track, analyse, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement rates, audience growth, and campaign effectiveness.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience managing social media for an organisation or brand.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and content creation skills.
- Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and basic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).
- Strong communication abilities with the capacity to engage diverse audiences effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
