TECHNICIAN, HVAC

Role Overview: The HVAC Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operations and maintenance of our HVAC systems.

The successful candidate will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, air handlers, and ductwork.
  • Perform routine inspections to prevent breakdown and troubleshooting to identify issues.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacement of parts.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Carry out daily and scheduled checks on the HVAC systems.
  • Collaborate with facilities management team to optimize campus comfort and energy efficiency.
  • Respond to emergency HVAC issues and perform repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist with other facilities related tasks as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience as HVAC technician.
  • Minimum of Trade Test Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical or related field. Strong knowledge of HVAC principles.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of energy management systems.
