What does it take to build a great school from the ground up?
At Charterhouse Lagos, we’ve asked ourselves that question every step of the way. For us, it’s not just about buildings — it’s about values, partnerships, and a commitment to doing things properly. From the UK to Nigeria, from tradition to innovation, our story is about shaping something enduring, relevant, and remarkable.
A Family of Schools with Global Reach
As a proud member of the Charterhouse family of schools, we work in close partnership with our UK sister school to uphold a tradition of academic excellence stretching back over 400 years. But this is no carbon copy. Charterhouse Lagos is a school with its own identity — rooted in Nigerian values, powered by a global outlook, and built to meet the needs of a new generation.
From the outset, our vision has been bold: to establish Nigeria’s first British independent school, offering the full academic journey from Year 1 to Sixth Form, preparing students for IGCSEs, A Levels, and access to the world’s top universities.
Built to Inspire
Unlike many schools that adapt or retrofit buildings, Charterhouse Lagos was designed from the ground up with one purpose: inspiring young minds. Our campus is not only architecturally impressive — it’s intentionally designed for learning. The Secondary School and Boarding House are world-class facilities unparalleled in Nigeria and West Africa.
Our students have access to air-conditioned classrooms, modern science and STEM labs, two libraries, art studios, music rooms, and exceptional co-curricular facilities. Outdoors, the campus includes expansive green spaces, a full-size football pitch, a 400m running track, an aquatics centre, and multiple basketball courts. These are not promises — they are real-world, ready-to-use spaces, supporting learning, sport, and wellbeing.
Leadership That Makes a Difference
A great school is shaped by great leadership. Our team brings decades of experience across the UK, Nigeria, Asia, and Africa — and we believe that leadership is about culture. Every decision, every hire, every detail is grounded in our values: Excellence, Respect, Integrity, Courtesy, Service, and Wellbeing.
This is especially true as we prepare to welcome our first Year 10 (IGCSE) and Year 12 (A Level) students in September 2026. We’re not just opening a school — we’re building something to last.
Come and See
At Charterhouse Lagos, we understand that families want more than just pictures or promises. That’s why we’re inviting parents to come and see what makes this school different — from our teaching team and curriculum to our facilities and student experience.
Whether you’re considering Primary, Secondary Boarding, or the Sixth Form journey ahead, now is the perfect time to book a tour.
