Physical Education and Games Technician

Role Overview: Full-time, on-site, 5 days a week, with occasional evenings and weekends for special events. The physical education and games technician will focus on the students building an intrinsic enjoyment of physical activity and learning how to lead an active lifestyle, as well as the technical skills, rules and discipline, and community benefits of each sport.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of Primary PE lessons reflecting the needs and interests of student.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive sporting culture, promoting the participation of all students, regardless of their ability level.
  • Support academic staff across the school to integrate sports and physical education into the broader curriculum, promoting the benefits of physical activity for overall student well-being.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, security, and safety standards.
  • Ensure school’s sports facilities are safe, well-maintained, and appropriately equipped.

Qualification, skills and knowledge:

  • A minimum of a diploma in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching and coaching music.
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or sports setting.
  • High level performance in a particular sport, preferably football or basketball.
  • Good knowledge of various sports and physical activities suitable for primary school children.
  • Experience with organizing and coordinating sporting fixtures, events, and activities.
  • First Aid and CPR certification. (Desirable)
