A year ago, we opened the gates of Charterhouse Lagos for the very first time.

What began as a bold idea — to bring British Independent School education to Nigeria — has since become a living, breathing reality. We’ve completed our first full academic year of Primary School, welcomed our founding families, and laid strong foundations for everything that is still to come.

Now, as we mark our one-year anniversary, we do so with a deep sense of pride — and with actual proof of our progress.

A Campus You Can Step Into

This summer, one message stands above the rest: we are ready.

The buildings for our Secondary School and Boarding House are fully complete. Walk through our campus today and you’ll find finished classrooms, common areas, science and STEM labs, and boarding spaces — with furniture now being installed and final preparations underway.

We’re not inviting families to look at digital renders or architectural plans. We’re inviting them to walk inside, meet the team, and see for themselves what their children will soon experience.

This readiness matters — because it builds trust. And it reflects the same commitment to quality and transparency that has guided us from the very beginning.

    Celebrating a Remarkable First Year

Last week, I stood in front of our students and families on Speech Day and reflected on what we’ve achieved together. I spoke about the energy, warmth and kindness that has shaped our school culture — and the pride we feel in the growth of each and every one of our students.

There was a special sense of purpose. We are not only celebrating the end of our first year — we are marking the beginning of something bigger: the opening of our full Secondary School and Boarding programme from September 2025.

We’ve taken our time. We’ve built the systems. We’ve recruited exceptional staff. And now, we’re ready to welcome our next cohort of families into a school that is real, tested, and rooted in purpose.

Looking Ahead to Year 10 and Year 12

From September 2026, we will expand even further with the launch of our IGCSE and A Level programmes in Year 10 and Year 12. Our newly completed Sixth Form centre, designed specifically to support independent learning, university preparation and leadership development, will be at the heart of this phase.

These pathways will offer Nigerian students a world-class academic experience without leaving home — one that reflects the rigour of our UK heritage and the ambition of our Charterhouse Lagos community.

    An Invitation to Visit

We know that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions any family can make. That’s why we are always open — during term time and beyond — to welcome parents for tours, answer questions, and explain our values and vision.

Whether you are considering Primary (Years 1–6), Secondary Boarding (Years 7–9 from September 2025), or looking ahead to IGCSE and A Levels from 2026, we invite you to come and see what Charterhouse Lagos has become.

A real school. A prepared school. A school with a purpose.

To all our families, partners, and staff — thank you. This first year has been extraordinary. And the journey has only just begun.
