Opening this September, the secondary school at Charterhouse Lagos is more than simply a new building – it is the beginning of a new chapter in Nigerian education. With purpose-built facilities now complete and fully furnished, we are enrolling students into Years 7, 8, and 9, offering both day and boarding options (weekly or termly boarding is available). This is a rare opportunity to join the founding cohort of one of the most ambitious and forward-thinking schools in West Africa, and the first British Independent School in Nigeria.
We understand that families have different schedules and different needs, which is why our admissions process is flexible and straightforward. Assessments can be done in person at our campus in Lekki, or online for those who are currently outside Lagos, overseas, or unable to travel.
There is no single “test day” or deadline – instead, we offer rolling admissions throughout the summer. Once your child is registered, we will schedule an assessment at a time that suits your family. We want the process to be stress-free and personalised, just like the education we offer.
Tours are also available daily, and we encourage parents and families to come and experience the school for themselves. You’ll meet our staff, see the learning spaces and boarding facilities, and understand why so many families are making the decision to join Charterhouse Lagos.
As the first British Independent School in Nigeria, Charterhouse Lagos brings a standard of excellence that is proven, deeply rooted, and unmatched by any other school. Our academic model draws on over 400 years of British educational heritage, but it is delivered in a way that honours and reflects the traditional values of Nigerian families.
Respect, discipline, courtesy, and wellbeing are not abstract concepts – they are the daily fabric of life at Charterhouse Lagos. Whether your child is a day student or a boarder, they will be part of a close-knit school community built on kindness, ambition, and shared purpose.
Our boarding house has been designed specifically for the needs of Nigerian families, offering safe, modern, and comfortable accommodation for boys and girls. Every child is cared for by trained house staff who act as mentors and guardians, ensuring your child’s emotional and physical wellbeing is supported alongside their academic growth.
For many families, this is a moment of real opportunity. Charterhouse Lagos offers the kind of education that has traditionally only been available overseas – it is now available right here in Nigeria. Our goal is to keep families together, to reduce the need for early overseas schooling, and to give children a world-class start without compromise.
Don’t miss the chance to be part of our founding Secondary School cohort.
With Year 10 and Year 12 opening in September 2026, the journey from Key Stage 3 to IGCSE and A Levels is already mapped out. The path to the world’s top universities begins here.
