Music Assistant Teacher
Role Overview: Full-time, on-site, 5 days a week, with occasional evenings and weekends for special events. The Music assistant Teacher plays a crucial role in fostering a love for music within the school community and contributing to the overall enrichment of our student’s educational experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate music into the curriculum
- Aid during music classes, ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Play piano (and other instruments as relevant) during classes, assemblies, concerts, and other school events.
- Collaborate with other performing arts disciplines to create integrated and cohesive performances.
- Assist in organizing and coordinating musical elements for lecture theatre productions.
Qualification, skills and knowledge:
- Bachelor’s degree in music education, music performance, or a related field (equivalent experience)
- Strong musical proficiency and knowledge across various genres (Grade 5 Piano level minimum)
- Experience with organizing and coordinating musical elements for productions and events.
- Knowledge of diverse music styles and genres.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in playing and teaching other musical instruments.
