Admission Process

Enrollment Process

Parents will be required to complete an application form, pay NGN 2,000,000 application fee and submit the following documents.

 

Apply using the Charterhouse Lagos Application Form

 

APPLICANTS WITH COMPLETED GCSE/IGCSE/WAEC RESULTS

  1. Complete the admissions form
  2. Birth certificate
  3. Recent passport photograph
  4. Payment receipt for the application fee
  5. Bio-data page of international passport
  6. Submit school reports from the previous two academic years. Where available, please also include any standardised or baseline assessments (e.g. CAT4, MidYIS, YELLIS, MAP, or ALT).
  7. Submit external examination results (GCSE, IGCSE, or WAEC).
  8. Note the required grades for A-Level admission:
    • WAEC: A1, B2, or B3
    • GCSE/IGCSE: A, B or grades 9, 8, 7, or 6
  9. Submit a Letter of Application (approx. 500 words, max 1 side of A4), written by the student. This should include:
    • Likely A-Level subject choices
    • Possible university pathway
    • Interests inside and outside of school
  10. Complete assessments:
    • CAT4 test
    • Written essay
  11. Attend a 1:1 interview with the Head of Sixth Form to discuss academic pathways, university goals, and personal aspirations.
  12. Receive an Admissions Offer followed by Confirmation of Enrolment if accepted.

 

APPLICANTS AWAITING GCSE/IGCSE/WAEC RESULTS

  1. Complete the admissions form
  2. Submit school reports from the previous two academic years, including any standardised assessments if available (e.g. CAT4, MidYIS, YELLIS, MAP, or ALT).
  3. Submit mock exam results (GCSE, IGCSE, or WAEC).
  4. Note the required grades for final acceptance:
    • WAEC: A1, B2, or B3
    • GCSE/IGCSE: A, B or grades 9, 8, 7, or 6
  5. Submit a Letter of Application (approx. 500 words, max 1 side of A4), written by the student, including:
    • Likely A-Level subject choices
    • Possible university pathway
    • Interests inside and outside of school
  6. Complete assessments:
    • CAT4 test
    • Written essay
  7. Attend a 1:1 interview with the Head of Sixth Form to discuss academic pathways, university goals, and personal aspirations.
  8. Receive a Conditional Admissions Offer
  9. Final acceptance is subject to actual examination results meeting the grade criteria. If met, a Confirmation of Enrolment letter will be issued.

SUBJECT SELECTION

Year 12:

  • Students may select 3 or 4 AS Level subjects.
  • The Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) may be chosen as a fourth subject.

Year 13:

  • Students typically continue with 3 A2 Level subjects.
  • A fourth A2 subject may be taken, though many students choose to focus on three.
