Charterhouse School Fees

It is a merit-based scholarship that provides a 50% reduction in tuition fees for exceptional students entering Year 10 (IGCSE). Continuation through Years 11–13 is possible, but only through ongoing review.

  • No. This is not a bursary and not a full fee remission. It covers 50% of tuition fees only. All other costs remain payable by parents or guardians.

Charterhouse School Fees

Yes. All scholarship holders must be weekly or termly boarders throughout the duration of the award.

The scholarship is awarded for Year 10 entry and may continue through Years 11–13. The maximum duration is four academic years, subject to eligibility at each review point.

No. The scholarship is earned and maintained. Continuation is conditional on meeting academic, behaviour, attendance, and boarding expectations.

The school reviews:

  • Academic progress and attainment

  • Behaviour and values alignment

  • Attendance (normally at or above 95%)

  • Boarding conduct and adherence to routines

The Academic Scholarship Committee may place the student on scholarship probation with clear improvement targets. If targets are not met, the scholarship may be withdrawn.

Yes. In cases of serious misconduct, safeguarding concerns, or fundamental breaches of boarding or behaviour expectations, the scholarship may be withdrawn immediately.

Tuition fees revert to the full published rate. No retrospective fee adjustment applies, and parents remain responsible for all outstanding fees.

The Academic Scholarship Committee, chaired by the Director of Education. Decisions are recorded formally and communicated in writing.

There is no automatic right of appeal beyond the published process. Decisions of the Academic Scholarship Committee are final, with final authority resting with the Director of Education.

Selection is assessment-based. Applicants will take  assessments in  English, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The school also completes mandatory identity and documentation checks for candidates.

Applicants will be required to provide accurate and verifiable documentation, which typically includes:

    • Evidence of the non-refundable registration fee of ₦500,000.
    • Student’s international passport (bio-data page).
    • Student’s birth certificate.
    • Parent or guardian’s valid means of identification.
    • Latest school academic results.
