Arts Technician

Role Overview:

Full-time, on-site, 5 days a week, with occasional evenings and weekends for special events. The Arts Technician will play a crucial role in fostering a love for Art within the school community and contribute to the overall enrichment of our students’ educational experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the students’ positive and ‘can do’ approach to artistic endeavour in all mediums.
  • Support academic staff across the school to integrate Art into the broader curriculum, promoting the benefits of creativity for overall student well-being and development.
  • Ensure Art facilities are safe, well-maintained, and appropriately equipped.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, security, and safety standards.
  • Support the effective execution of Art events, including House and external competitions and exhibitions.

Qualification, skills and knowledge:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or related qualification.
  • Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or art setting.
  • High-level performance in art, with a demonstrable portfolio.
  • Good knowledge of artistic techniques across a range of mediums.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Experience with organizing and coordinating art events.
