Network Specialist

Role Overview: Full-time, on-site. The Network Specialist is required to have a deep understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting
the network infrastructure of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network appliances.
  • Configure and manage TCP/IP networks, subnets, routing, switching, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues using tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, Solar-Winds, PRTG, and Packet Tracer.
  • Ensure network security by implementing and managing network policies, wireless security, and configuring firewalls.
  • Support and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, FTP, and SNMP.
  • Maintain and support Windows Server, Linux, and other operating systems within the network environment.

Qualification, skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or similar credentials.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, routing, switching, VLANs, and VPNs.
  • Proficiency in network protocols including HTTPS, FTP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.
  • Familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, and various network appliances.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and other operating systems.
