Physical Education and Games Teacher (Female)

Role Overview: Full-time, on-site, 5 days a week, with occasional evenings and weekends for special events. The physical education and games teacher will play a crucial role in fostering a love for sport within the school community and contribute to the overall enrichment of our students’ educational experience. She will focus on the students building an intrinsic enjoyment of physical activity and learning how to lead an active lifestyle, as well as the technical skills, rules, and discipline, and team ship and community benefits of each sport.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the schools safeguarding policies are always adhered to.
  • Plan and deliver sporting fixtures, tournaments, and events, both within the school and against other schools.
  • Supervise students to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Coach and mentor student athletes, delivering high-quality lessons and training sessions that enhance skill development, tactical understanding, and physical fitness.
  • Help in preparing teaching materials and resources for PE lessons.

Qualification, skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical education or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in teaching and coaching PE and Games.
  • Strong sporting proficiency and knowledge across various sports, with representative experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with organizing and coordinating sporting fixtures, events, and activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations in the education sector.
